The Seneca Lake boat launch in Watkins Glen (above, shown Friday, April 10) and the Keuka Lake boat launch in Penn Yan (below, shown Saturday, April 11) presented the drastic difference in lake levels as the area recovers from heavy rain and a wet spring. Seneca Lake has seen levels just below the flood stage, closing boat launches and prompting the Sheriff to issue an advisory for the waterway. Keuka saw the highest water in early April, but has steadily declined back within the high level guideline.
