YATES COUNTY--The Windmill Farm and Craft Market opens for its 39th season, Saturday, April 18.
The Windmill features over 175 indoor and outdoor shops on 44 acres located on 14A between Dundee and Penn Yan. It is open on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and also on additional days, including Memorial Day, the third and Fourth of July, Labor Day and Black Friday.
“It may be cliché to say, but I’m not certain the excitement for opening day has been any higher,” said Windmill Director of Operations Steve Wilson. “During these past few years, we’ve seen tremendous investments by our merchants, new and seasoned veterans. The amount of new and exciting storefronts will make the market seem almost brand new.”
Wilson highlighted the importance of small business enterprises and how they fulfill the American dream in this 250th anniversary year of the United States Declaration of Independence.
Wilson added, “This season I can honestly say, even if you were here last year, you’ll be amazed by all our new businesses and those having been reimagined.”
