Watkins Glen International
WATKINS GLEN--With NASCAR weekend just one month away, Watkins Glen International will open for the season, Saturday, April 11.
Opening Day presented by MOTUL provides fans with the opportunity to drive their own vehicle on the 3.45-mile grand prix circuit to benefit the Racing and Community Enrichment (R.A.C.E.) Foundation.
The mission of R.A.C.E. is to meet the needs of local underserved populations with a focus on youth-oriented support. A donor-advised fund of the NASCAR Foundation, The RACE Foundation will use the backing of a community to foster meaningful fundraising efforts, as well as lean on support from the international racing family.
Individuals and car clubs are both welcome to participate at opening day from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Tickets are available now. Purchase tickets in advance for $34 per car (ticket fees included), or $35 per car at the gate (ticket fees included). One ticket permits three laps around the track. Purchase additional tickets to take additional laps around the track.
Watkins Glen International is a cashless facility. Groups of 10 or more must reserve a spot in advance.
Fans arriving should use Gate 2 directly off of County Route 16.
