Happy Holidays! The Observer and the REVIEW&EXPRESS each published a combined holiday edition with the dates of Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2024 and Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2024. There is not a new paper for Dec. 25. The next new edition is Wednesday, Jan. 1.
The office is closed on Monday, Dec. 23 and will reopen Thursday, Jan 2.

Penn Yan Boys Lacrosse The Penn Yan boys lacrosse team lost to Westhill in double-overtime, Friday, April 7. The final score was 6-5. Carter Earl and Teagen Fingar both scored two goals. Bryant VanHousen added one goal and one assist. Will Thompson made 14 saves in the goal.
The Mustangs lost to Marcellus, 10-3, Tuesday, April 4. Scoring for Penn Yan were VanHousen with one goal and one assist, while Fingar and Earl each added one point. Thompson had 16 saves in the cage.

Penn Yan Girls Lacrosse
The Penn Yan girls lacrosse team defeated Horseheads, 15-7, Saturday, April 8. The girls had nine first-half goals and six in the second. Maihue Miranda-Wiltberger netted five goals. Corinne Barden contributed four goals and three assists. Taylor Mullins added three goals and two assists, while Bailey Cooper scored twice. Also helping in the win were Lila Hansen with one goal and an assist and Gianna Voigt with one assist. Marion Wheeler made three saves in the goal.
The girls also won against Ithaca, Monday, April 3. The final score was 14-9. Leading the team was Cooper with nine goals and one assist. Wheeler made six saves.

Watkins Glen/Odessa-Montour Baseball
The Watkins Glen and Odessa-Montour baseball team beat Notre Dame, Wednesday, April 5. The final score was 6-0. The team scored two runs in the first and fifth inning along with single runs in the third and seventh. The team is now 2-1.
The baseball team also played two games against Notre Dame, Monday, April 3. The first game was lost 3-0 and the second won, 9-1.
