I was very proud of the boys tonight," said Head Coach Scott Morse. "We haven't played a game since the beginning of the month, and I was definitely concerned about us coming out sluggish tonight. We had a great week of practice though and showed up ready to compete. In sectional play, every game is a battle and tonight was no exception. Right out of the jump, I loved our intensity and defensive communication. Union Springs is an excellent shooting team and can score in bunches if you don't play them tight. We had a game plan coming in and the boys did a phenomenal job executing defensively. We were able to defend the three-point line well and rotated to help when we got beat."
