Odessa girls win IAC crown

DRYDEN-The Odessa-Montour girls varsity soccer team won the Interscholastic Athletic Conference (IAC) Small Schools crown, Saturday, Oct. 17. The Indians beat Marathon, 2-1.
Sage Garrison scored the game's first goal with 8:18 left in the first half. Marathon got on the scoreboard with a goal early in the second half, tying the game at 1-1. However, Garrison quickly responded with another goal for O-M, this time with 30:49 left in the game. The goal would be the game winner for Odessa.
Odessa's girls play in the first round of the Class C Sectionals next, Tuesday, Oct. 20 against Bainbridge-Guilford. The Indians, seeded fifth, will host the visiting team seeded 12th.
