WATKINS GLEN-The Watkins Glen girls varsity swim team beat Odessa-Montour 110-56, Thursday, Sept. 25. The Watkins 200 medley relay team (Peighton Cervoni, Katherine Meehan, Madeleine Ross, and Sara Gardner) placed first in 2:12.17, as well as the 200 freestyle relay team (Emma Allington, Madeleine Ross, Bridgette Guild, and Katherine Meehan) with 1:57.30. Other first place wins for Watkins included: Victoria Wixson in the 100 backstroke (1:07.12) and the 200 individual medley (2:30.96); Emma Allington in the 50 freestyle (27.08.10) and 100 freestyle (1:02.33); Alexis Castellaneta in diving (236.5) (pool record); Liza Carnes in the 100 butterfly (1:20.36); Sage Burt in the 500 freestyle (6:23.31); and Katherine Meehan in the 100 breaststroke (1:14.78). First place finishes for O-M included the 400 free relay team (Syria Tague, Emma Raymond, Emelia Paulisczak, and Tori Reese) in a season best time of 4:30.27 and Emelia Paulisczak in the 200 free with a season best time of 2:25.22.
