PHOTO GALLERY: The rain stops, but water problems continue

PENN YAN-Penn Yan and Yates County took on more rain Friday morning, May 16. Spot flooding in the village and surrounding areas continued to give emergency workers and village crews water problems. The heavy rain subsided around 10:30 a.m. Friday.

The Yates ARC building on North Avenue in Penn Yan sustained significant flooding and Camp Good Days and Special Times, Inc. in Branchport had major water infiltration into multiple buildings. Meteorologists predict a 20 percent chance of rain Friday night.
