Penn Yan advances to state semi-finals

ROCHESTER—The Penn Yan boys varsity lacrosse team topped Silver Creek, Saturday, June 1, at St. John Fisher College to advance to the state Class C semi-finals next Wednesday, June 5.
The final score of Saturday's western regional game was 11-7.  Ryan Maciejewski led with five points.  Bradley Voigt scored three times.  Andrew Perl had two, while Sean Emerson scored once.  In the goal, Brandon Maciejewski had 14 saves.
Penn Yan advances to the state semifinal game on Wednesday at St. John Fisher.  The Mustangs face the Class C central area champion Cazenovia, the Section III title winner.
