Odessa boys advance in sectionals

ODESSA—The Odessa-Montour boys varsity soccer team beat Delhi, 4-3, in overtime to advance to the Section IV Class C quarterfinals, Tuesday, Oct. 23.
Morgan Shutter scored first, assisted by Ryan Gardner. Tanner Dupuy scored next for the Indians, with an assist from Chris Husted, to make the halftime score, 2-1. Tom Peckham had Odessa's third goal. The second half ended at 3-3. Shutter scored off of a corner kick by Tyler Goossen to win the game in overtime.
Odessa plays at Lansing next, the number one seed, Friday, Oct. 26. Odessa is seeded number eight in Class C.
